Reflection 4
Reflect on your experiences as a student learning English. When you consider the use of instructional technology and media by your teacher, (1) can you identify what steps in the ASSURE model that were used? If the teacher in fact included all the steps,(2) do you think this improved the effectiveness of the lesson? If the teacher did not include all steps, which were missed ? Did this omission negatively impact on the effectiveness of the lesson?

I think learning a different language is really challenging. I have been learning English since I was 10. English is in my life nearly 11 years. I have seen different learning tecniques since 11 years. I remember my English teachers and I can say most of them used tape players, family trees. These were their techniques and they apply it everyone of the class and so on, when I came the Cyprus, METU NCC, I saw additional different staff in learning English in preparatory school such as playing games, forcing students to speak English in classrooms and etc..
1- Analyzing Learners
In prep. school, there were an exam which determines students English levels. Students were seperated according to the result of the exam and we can add degree in it.
Media and Materials
We watched lots of videos and listened tapes as learning pratices. Moreover, we used different materials such as cards, used for games, projectors etc..
Feedbacks
After each exam and homework, teachers gave us feedbacks about our papers.
2- After the teachers applied the all steps together, it was really effective for us. I think there was no way to learn it better.
